A custom web development firm is only as good as its people, and our people are the BEST!

When we look for people to join our team, they need to have the right mix of web development projects experience and skill to fulfill the job requirements, but we also want them to be able to fit in with the team and our custom web development clients. It is important for our employees to be bright, presentable people so that they can speak intelligently to clients and think through their tasks with the right amount of context, i.e. out of the box.

Our technical staff is made up of bright, friendly people that can answer your technical questions and advise you about current trends in business, technology, and other areas. The positions mainly include web developers, application developers, graphic designers, and project managers.

Brandon Spilove
Owner, Veteran Web Developer
from Brandon - "I started this company in 1997. I have been writing computer programs since the 4th grade when my parents bought me a Commodore Vic20 and hired a tutor to come and teach me programming. Not long after that I became proficient in BASIC and was just really good at figuring out complex problems on the computer and fixing them. Computers were always a hobby for me until I decided to quit graduate school at Rutgers University and get a job at a technology firm doing what I love. Soon after that I started this company and I am still able to stay very technical and develop high quality, scalable functionality for our clients along with running the day to day operations."
Bill Pittenger
Project Manager
from Bill - I'm the guy who our customers can go to for anything and everything at Business Edge. My title is Project Manager, but in addition to managing our projects, I also coordinate nearly all of the existing website updates, provide technical support, and even manage our hosting services. There's a good chance that I can help you with any of your web development, custom software, e-commerce, social networking or hosting questions. I'm not just a "computer guy". I have a BS degree from Rutgers in Exercise Science & Sports Studies and at one time was scouted by the Pittsburgh Pirates as a pitcher. I do have a minor league baseball championship ring as a trainer for the New Jersey Cardinals in 1994.
Chris Hack

from Chris - I have a B.S. in Pharmacology and after a brief time in the health sector, decided to pursue a career in information technology. After completing several classes in a computer science masters program an opportunity with a start-up software company put my studies on hold. My first position, in 1998, was with start-up software company, Rush Creek Software Corp. providing web application, Windows application, and Windows Server application services to several fortune 500 companies. In 2002 Rush Creek Software Corp. was acquired by Canadian software company, Xenos Inc. I was promoted to the position of Development Manager over the entire infoWEB product line acquired from Rush Creek. During my time with Rush Creek and Xenos, I enjoyed exposure to several cutting edge technologies and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. In 2007, Xenos completed the transitioning of all U.S. assets to Canada and I was among several U.S. employees terminated in the process. Thankful for the knowledge and experience from Xenos, but looking forward to the next opportunity, it was not long before I was hired by Business Edge and the synergy was incredible. I am thrilled to be working for such a great American company again.
Rob Tyska

About Rob - As our ecommerce web solutions expert, Rob has brought a countless number of retail stores to the Internet. Rob is also our resident expert on skinning and design for Web 2.0 Development. In his spare time, Rob is an aspiring ballerina who loves to garden and design women's clothes.

Company positions:

Application developers: Our application developers are experienced Microsoft developers and use the same tools and technologies as our web developers, such as Visual Studio and C# and SQL Server primarily. We work with our clients to make sure the applications we create will work on multiple computers, and we go through extensive testing to make sure we have met all of our client's requirements.

Project managers: The key to a successful project is good project management and setting realistic customer expectations. Our project managers are highly skilled and can communicate well acting as a liason between our clients and the developers.
