Configuring your email with Outlook:

 

 

Step 1: Open Outlook Express.

 

Step 2: Select Tools > Email Accounts…

 

Step 3: In the box that appears, select the button next to “Add a new e-mail account”.

 

Step 4: Press Next.

 

 

 

 

 

Step 5: On the next page select the button next to “POP3”.

 

Step6: Press Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 7: Under the heading “User Information” enter your full name and full email address in the corresponding fields.

 

Step 8: Under the heading “Server Information” enter your incoming and outgoing mail servers in the corresponding fields. Both servers will have the same name and they are in the format “mail.yourdomain.com”. So if your domain name is busedge.com, then it is mail.busedge.com.

 

Step 9: Under the heading “Logon Information” enter your password in the corresponding field (Outlook will automatically populate the User Name once you’ve entered your email address). Choose the Remember password option. Do NOT select “Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)”.

 

Step 10: Press Next.

 

 

 

Step 11: Press Finish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 12: Go under Tools > Email Accounts...

 

Step 13: In the box that appears, select the button next to “View or change existing e-mail accounts”.

 

Step 14: Press Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 15: You should see the following…. Make sure your domain is highlighted and choose Change.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 16: In the following window press the More Settings button.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 17: In the pop-up window choose the “Outgoing Server” tab and select the checkbox next to “My server requires authentication.” Press Ok and then Close.

 

 

Step 18: That’s it! You are now set up to use Outlook for you email client.
